You do not have to remove the drive to install this boot by itself.
These are the best bellows I can find for the money. (Recommended)! Higher than average quality rubber! Flexible!
It is funny but lately I have had a lot of questions about something found in the exhaust port when the drive is removed. The answer would be the butterfly flapper in the exhaust pipe that stops back wash to prevent water from hitting hot risers/manifolds. Give me a call for this and I will explain.
These of course are new but in my store you will find the other style exhaust tube that only connects on the gimbal housing side.
I also have Type 1, Bravo; Alpha One Generation one, Alpha One Generation Two & Pre-Alpha bellows listed in my E-bay store with their drive gaskets.
There is cheaper bellows out there that do not have the same quality and there is what is called a heavy duty bellows out there that cost a lot more money. But they are thicker rubber and crack prematurely. The simple truth is bellows should be changed every 5 years and none of the 3 grades of bellows will last more than the 5 year time limit without fatigue.
Oh here is  a tip; Never store your boat with outdrive in up position as it stretches out the bellows and allows the hydraulic ram seals to dry and freeze up so they won’t close.
